The Pororari River Track is the pedestrian entry/exit for the Paparoa Great Walk. It follows a spectacular limestone gorge. It's a lovely walk by a river showcasing a beautiful coastal rainforest and amazing limestone formations. There's a stunning view of the river gorge from a lookout. You should walk along the river, past the intersection with the Paparoa Track on your right, and continue to the swing bridge that leads to the Inland Pack Track and crosses the Paparoa River. After enjoying the view from the swing bridge, start back the way you came, and turn left/south onto the Paparoa Track you passed before. Take that a couple of kms to the Punakaiki River swing bridge. Get back to the start by walking back along the coast road, use two cars, one at each end. Alternatively, you can have one of your group not take the Paparoa Track and walk the normal out-and-return trip along the river, and pick you up at the Punakaiki River swing bridge end.
