Angelus Hut is a serviced 28-bunk hut in the Nelson Lakes area. You need to book this hut online. It is very popular, so gets booked far in advance during the holidays. Because the track to Angelus Hut is very unpleasant, or even dangerous, during bad weather, you might want to hold off booking the hut until just before your trip. If the weather is bad, you don't want to go there anyway. There are lots of hikes to/from Angelus Hut, but all of them are tiring if you are not a fit and experienced hiker.
