Overview
Whariwharangi beach is a beautiful beach that can be accessed as a day hike from Wainui Bay. About 6 km (3.5 miles) one way. The beach is a short walk from the historic Whariwharangi Hut. You can only get here by walking or boat. No car access. During some months of the year you can mountain bike from Totaranui Beach to Whariwharanghi Beach. Check the DOC website.
