Art Deco Guided Walks
Take a walk back in time with a guided walking tour. Your local guide will tell you stories of the earthquake that destroyed the city and the remarkable recovery and rebuild that was completed within a short period of time. Art Deco Napier Guided Walks departure daily (except Christmas Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day). 10.00am scheduled tour - NZ$31.00 p/person (this price also applies to the 2pm walk in the winter season). The tour commences with a guide introduction followed by a 20 minute movie on the Earthquake and rebuild of the city in the Art Deco style. This is followed by the one hour walking tour. 2.00pm scheduled tour - NZ$33.50 p/person (summer season). The extended walking tour in the summer period allows for a longer stroll in the city centre to view more of the buildings in the Art Deco precinct. 2 1/2 hour tour time in total.
