For generations, Te Puia has welcomed manuhiri (visitors) to discover the magic hidden within Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley. Explore our dramatic geysers, bubbling mud, and beautiful native bush during our guided experience, Te Rā. Get close to the largest active geyser in the Southern Hemisphere, Pōhutu Geyser, and our national treasure the Kiwi bird. Witness students learning the traditional crafts of Māori carving and weaving at the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute. Feel the power of waiata and haka during our Māori cultural performance.
