Toad Hall is a cafe at the south entrance to Motueka. It is definitely worth a stop on your way to Abel Tasman park. An amazing selection of cakes and savoury pies. They also have a sitdown menu if you don't want cabinet food. The outdoor area has lots of seating in or out of the sun, and a playground for children. In winter, they have an enclosed deck with a woodstove keeping it warm. They also serve what Kiwis call "real fruit icecream", which is frozen fruit mixed into vanilla icecream, but I recommend "Thomas Brothers Cherry and Real Fruit Icecream Stall" in Riwaka for that instead of Toad Hall.
