Amazing beach for surfing, boogie boarding, and swimming. Very shallow slope, so it is a fairly safe beach as long as you avoid the rip tide at the south end of the bay. Just south of the "middle" of the beach generally has the best waves. Best surf is usually a couple of hours before high tide. Toilets at both the south and north ends. North end often has a caravan selling drinks and ice creams. Other activities in the area include the Cape Foul Wind clifftop walk, the inland walk to the Cape Foul Wind side of the bay, and the seal colony.
