A cafe that looks like something out of a storybook. Delicious food that is carefully prepared by the owners. Much of the produce is grown on site. Kids, (and adults), will enjoy exploring the grounds and gardens. Tame eels in the adjoining creek that you can feed. (Kids either love feeding them or are freaked out by the eels slithering out of the creek towards them.) A good stop on the way to doing a walk in Abel Tasman, or as part of a cycle ride to/from Rabbit Island or Mapua. Only open on Fridays for limited hours. Check their website, their Facebook account, or call to confirm they are open. They also offer accommodation in a giant boot.
