Tahuna Beach

A huge beach where you can go for a walk, run, or swim in the ocean. Toilets, cold showers, changing rooms are available. A playground for the kids, large grassy fields, and food vendors are also available. You can easily walk a kilometer or two along the beach, and at low tide the water goes out several hundred meters. On a sunny day during the summer months, when there is a late afternoon high tide, the water can be very warm due to the sun heating up the sand before the tide comes in. Natureland zoo and Nelson Fun Park are also walking distance from the beach. Lots of parking.
