Maitai River Walk

An easy walk along the Maitai River. It is an out and back walk, so you can go as far as you want, then turn around and walk back the way you came. The walk is paved near the centre of town, and turns into a dirt path as you get further from the town. There are a few grassy fields and parks along the river walk, so you might want to pack a picnic lunch. You can start anywhere along the river you would like. If you want to start near the ocean/port, there is free parking there. Otherwise, starting at the Botanical Reserve or Nile Street near the Centre of New Zealand walk has free street parking also.
