A short (20 min one-way) walk, with a small hill, to a beautiful beach that is often seen in postcards and computer desktop backgrounds. Sand dunes, seals, rock archways, tunnels. More of the beach is accessible, and better views, at low tide. Do the full loop walk if it is below half-tide. This is a definite "must do" on the South Island.
