Have breakfast or lunch at the Suter Cafe. Lots of cabinet food an nice sweet treats. Lovely view of the Queens Garden. The owner is also a jazz singer who sometimes performs in Nelson. "Katrina and Her Band Of Men" Visit the free Suter Art Gallery while here. Walk through the Queens Garden next door. If you are more motivated, walk up to the Centre of New Zealand, or just amble along the Maitai River. (Downstream to the port, upstream through the forrest.)
