Fox Glacier / Te Moeka o Tuawe is a 13 km temperate maritime glacier flowing 2,500–2,600 m from the Southern Alps nearly to sea level within Westland Tai Poutini National Park on New Zealand’s South Island. One of the world’s most accessible glaciers, it’s framed by lush rainforest and dramatic ice terrain. Visitors can enjoy easy walking paths to glacier viewpoints, or opt for guided heli-hiking on deep blue ice crevasses and caves.
